Private, Gated Homes with New York City Skyline Views in Fort Lee

Homes & Estates with New York City Views In Fort Lee

Featured Properties

Fort Lee found its place in the American history books in 1776 when the British wanted to control New York City and the Hudson River.

In July 1776, the American army began to infiltrate the area to protect the Hudson and called it Fort Constitution.

It was later named Fort Lee after General Charles Lee who just had a major victory in South Carolina during one of the last battles in the fight for Independence.

After the construction of the George Washington Bridge, Fort Lee became the gateway to New Jersey.

The Fort Lee Bluff area is a high point on the cliffs, South of the George Washington Bridge and North of Route 5.

Directly North of the Bridge going South sit several Hi-Rise developments: Hudson Lights, The Modern, River Ridge, Century Towers, The Colony, The Atrium, The Plaza, Horizon House and then comes the exclusive Bluff Section: the “Gold Coast for exclusive homes”.

Although Fort Lee is made up of severable neighborhoods, the Fort Lee Bluffs features the only single family location which provides spectacular views of the NYC skyline.

From other areas and neighborhoods of Fort Lee you can view the skyline, but those areas are not single family homes, but high-rise condo and cooperative buildings.

The Bluffs is the most exclusive neighborhood in Fort Lee with some stunning properties built directly on the cliff.

Arcadian Way is the most exclusive street within Fort Lee Bluffs; running parallel to the Hudson River along the Palisades.

Other streets include Bluff Road, Briar Way, Buckingham Road, Claremont Road, Crescent Way, Euclid Road, Fairmont Ave., Manatauk and Virginia Ave.

A drive along Arcadian Way will pass by gates to the multimillion-dollar homes.  The featured properties consist of two and possibly three of those homes- all with fabulous NYC skyline views.

Some very famous and notorious people have resided in the “Bluffs” including Buddy Hackett and Albert Anastasia.

The Fort Lee Bluffs provide a suburban lifestyle with the convenience to NYC via the ferry, bus or car.  The Edgewater Ferry with service to NYC is just a short walk down the hill.

The Fort Lee Bluffs is located in a diverse community with restaurants, shops, a new revised Main Street and Hudson Lights, one High School, one Middle School and four Elementary Schools.

The Borough has about 40,000 residents on 2.5 square miles.
